Jake's

We started our adventure at Jake's Pizza, downtown Green Bay about 3 weeks ago. The endeavor: to visit and reflect upon the different varieties of pizza and hamburgers in the Greater Green Bay area (and sometimes other ones). Fond memories of different places and new adventures could quite possibly show up as well. I mean, good food is good food and people should know about it.

Here's the dish:
The Pizza (I had cheese and pepperoni and mushroom):
Appearance--5
Taste (sauce, crust, toppings)--8
     sauce--8
     crust--7
     toppings--8
Texture--8
Average rating (not scientific)--"mmmm" 7.5
NOTES: it does not leave you feeling bloated and crazy...huge benefit!
The Tanya Bread:
Appearance--5
Taste (sauce, crust, toppings)--8
sauce--N/A (what they provided wasn't really sauce)
     crust--8
     toppings--8+
Texture--8
Average rating (not scientific)--"I loved this!" 7.5
NOTES: sauce is an issue here but it was soooo good!

Each category gets a rating of up to 8 slices (get it? Like pizza.)
8 is "amazing! I think I'm in heaven."
4 or 5 is "good but not special."
0 is "why did you waste these perfectly good tomatoes?"
And less than 0 would be something like "get a new career."

  1. Jakes was a great start to our pizza tour! The pizza was light and flavorful. The best part really was the after effect...there was none. Often times after eating you'll have that full, greasy, bloaty feeling, but not with this pizza. Side note: From the outside of the building you would never realize how nice it is on the inside!
Overall, Jake's is definitely worth checking out, and the Tanya bread is a must!
